2develop for Schools
2develop for Schools is our online training needs analysis tool initially developed under the name Identifit.
This online system is being used extensively throughout the country by schools and Local Authorities to assist with performance management, school improvement planning, OfSTED reporting, continuous professional development (CPD) and more. It includes questionnaires against support staff qualifications and roles, teacher standards and roles, quality standards including Investors in People, online action planning and CPD log.
Identifit was created following feedback from schools and LA's on the difficulty they were having in meeting the national school agenda targets. Following research the School Support Staff Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) – now named the Schools Workforce Partnership (SWP) decided that an online training needs analysis tool would assist to meet the needs highlighted by the research.
Due to technological advances Identifit has recently been replaced by 2develop for Schools and is fully endorsed by the new Schools Workforce Partnership as their recommended system for schools.
"I have been very impressed with the willingness of the STAR/2develop team to take on board our suggestions for the customising of the Identifit website package to fit Wirral needs.
There has been an extremely positive response from all of the 90 schools that have received the rollout training in the summer and autumn terms 2008 and I am already seeing schools making good use of the analysis data that has been generated to provide bespoke training for individuals and cohorts of staff."
Donald Williamson, Wirral Local Authority
"Medway Council are proud to be piloting the Identifit programme with our schools and believe it will be a useful tool in the performance management and continuous professional development of teachers and support staff alike.
No problem is too big for the staff at STAR/2develop and it is a pleasure to work with them."
Elaine Hunt, Medway Council
"With a mobile workforce all over the world we needed a simple tracking system. The initial purpose of tracking has grown into an improved performance management process linked to objectives and training."
Alison Iveson, Ministry of Defence (MOD)
