School Support Staff Qualifications

STAR is one of the leading providers of school support staff qualifications in the country. We offer a wide range of qualifications and training for Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, Cover Supervisors, Mid Day Supervisors, School Administrators and Parent Support Advisors.

All of the qualifications we offer are nationally recognised through the new QCF framework and are accredited by City and Guilds.

We deliver our courses via distance learning. We also offer enhanced distance learning, including on site visits to those located in the Yorkshire region, and can offer this in other areas to larger cohorts of learners.

Level 2 Certificate in Supporting the Wider Curriculum in Schools This qualification is ideally suited to those working as midday assistants/ supervisors or who support the wider activities of the school such as before and after school clubs. Level 3 Certificate in Cover Supervision in Schools This qualification is aimed at those undertaking the role of Cover Supervisor; those who supervise whole class learning activities within schools.
