What are Apprenticeships?
Apprenticeships are work-based training programmes that result in a nationally recognised qualification specific to the role the individual is carrying out. They also develop an individual’s core skills, including literacy and numeracy, essential for any role.

Apprenticeship in Business and Administration (Level 2)This level 2 qualification is suitable for individuals who work in an administration role across a wide range of industries and types of organisations. It is aimed at those who work as part of a team and ensure the provision of information and resources to others. |

Advanced Apprenticeship in Business and Administration (Level 3)This level 3 qualification is suitable for individuals who work in an administration role across a wide range of industries and types of organisations. It is most suitable for those who are working with a high degree of autonomy and personal responsibility. It is aimed at those who are involved in developing, implementing and maintaining administrative services. |

Apprenticeship in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (Level 2)This qualification is suitable for individuals who directly support the teaching and learning of pupils within a school setting. This includes Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants etc, from all types of schools. It is most suited to individuals that are working under close supervision of the class teacher whose lesson planning and day-to-day direction set the framework within which the individual works. |

Advanced Apprenticeship in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools (Level 3)This level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship is designed to be applicable to learning support staff with a working role which requires competence across a varied range of responsibilities. This includes Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants etc, from all types of schools. It is best suited to individuals working under the direction of the teacher who has overall responsibility for teaching and learning in the classroom. |
