Skills Brokerage
STAR operates the Integrated Skills Brokerage for the Public Sector Services in Yorkshire and Humberside. The brokerage is a support service, funded by Yorkshire Forward, which assists public sector organisations to:
- Undertake a training needs analysis
- Produce training plans
- Source training provision to meet identified needs
- Source possible funding available to meet training needs
- Commit to and fulfil the skills pledge (Free online tool now available)
The service is delivered by qualified advisors (skills brokers) who have extensive experience of the public sector, through onsite visits at times convenient to our clients.
STAR works with a range of partners to ensure our knowledge of the sector and available initiatives is kept current and to provide a consistent approach to our clients. These include Sector Skills Councils and local employer organisations.
