Business Interchange

Business Interchange, part of Lifelong Learning UK’s Catalyst programme, is a government funded programme which is designed to help teachers, tutors and trainers currently working in FE to increase their skills and experience through placements within businesses. Placements allow participants to refresh and develop their skills through “hands-on” experience in the workplace. Whether it is getting to grips with the latest in best practice, learning about new techniques to sharpen their skills, or fulfilling mandatory continuing professional development (CPD) requirements, teachers, tutors and trainers return to their roles with refreshed skills and an up-to-date view of industries' and employers' needs.

STAR have been appointed to provide a national coordinator service to support organisations undertaking Business Interchange by explaining the process, supporting registration, setting placement objectives, creating outputs and possibly finding business hosts.
